Job Description


This position reports to the Benefits Manager. Individual maintains contact with Human Resources staff, Management, and outside vendors/providers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Respond to employee benefits questions
  • Assist in ensuring US and Canada benefits plans are in compliance with plan designs and consistent with local, national, and federal regulations
  • Reconcile and process vendor invoices
  • Conduct audit of database integrity on a regular basis and fix/adjust discrepancies
  • Run and send benefits interfaces to vendors
  • Reconcile and process the 401k, HSA, and RRSP funding for each payroll
  • Coordinate wellness programs, presentations, and incentives with vendors
  • Manage internal communications for employee benefits
  • Perform testing in internal systems as required
  • Assist with annual enrollment and other benefit initiatives for US and Canada benefit plans
  • Manage the benefits intranet site
  • Assist and lead implementation of new benefits provider or system updates to the Benefits plan
  • Provides guidance to ESC team members on life event clarification and will consult with manager for unique situations/cases
  • Attends and coordinates quarterly Investment committee meetings
  • Reviews with Benefits Manager, plan documents and required annual statutory benefits notification
  • Coordinates with external vendors for data audit and clean up related to annual 1095 preparation

Qualifications


Job Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of benefits experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong customer orientation and attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to take initiative when necessary
  • Able to multi-task and provide great customer service
  • Oracle and/or WorkDay database experience preferred
