Job Description


The Benefits Specialist is responsible for assisting with the administration of all health and welfare benefits, and retirement programs. A strong candidate will exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and working knowledge of systems and manipulating data.

How you’ll contribute and make a meaningful impact:

  • Assists employees and managers with benefits questions and plan education
  • Partner with insurance carriers to resolve member claim concerns
  • Processes benefit invoices and maintains records accordingly
  • Responds to 401(k) inquiries from employees relating to account balance, enrollments and withdrawals
  • Processes parental pay requests to Payroll dept.
  • Promotes and assists in organization of benefit activities such as; blood drives, benefit fairs, community events, etc.
  • Processes qualifying life changes as they relate to benefit enrollments
  • Submit and review benefit deductions to pay records
  • Conducts regular audits for accuracy and provides consistent messaging to employees.
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA, data privacy regulations, and best practices.
  • Partners with vendors to problem-solve, share communications, and stay apprised of recent legislation.

Qualifications


You’ll bring:

  • Knowledge of employee benefits and HRIS systems.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in benefits administration required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Knowledge of Oracle and ADP is preferred
  • Maintain confidentiality

Salary Range: $50k to $70k annually + benefits, considering location, experience, and other factors.
