DescriptionIf you have 3+ years of previous Benefits experience and experience using Workday, this could be the position for you!The Benefits Analyst is responsible for supporting and planning the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, worker's compensation claims, life insurance, critical illness and accident plan, health savings account, flexible spending plan, retirement plans, etc.). This position provides excellent customer service and designs quality benefits plans.This role is based in Washington, DC with the option of being hybrid or primarily remote but must be available to be in office as needed for meetings or events.Duties will include but not limited to:• Support annual open enrollment process including reviewing communications and ensuring renewal changes are reflected in open enrollment materials, Summary Plan Descriptions, etc.• Maintain records of current and new participants in our benefits programs in our HRIS.• Provide day-to-day processing and operational support and serve as the first point of contact for benefits inquiries coming from employees and other internal stakeholders.• Counsel employees on benefits policies, practices, programs, and guidelines.• Oversee the administration of all company leave of absence programs in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations. This includes working very closely with the payroll team.• Reconcile payments to carriers and work to coordinate payments with the Finance team in a timely manner.• Support implementation and administration of benefits programs.• Identify and resolve administrative problems related to certain benefits packages.• Interpret and maintain knowledge of new and existing state and federal regulations and support updates to company procedures and policies as needed to maintain compliance.• Support the administration of the company’s 401(k) plan in partnership with internal teams (HR operations, payroll, finance, legal, etc.) and external vendors.• Maintain good working relationships with benefits providers, consultants, brokers, and auditors.• Support employee benefits communications throughout the year.• Locations supported are primarily North America and South America with lighter support of Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and Asia-Pacific (APAC).Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.• 3+ years of employee benefits administration experience.• Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel. Proven experience with other Microsoft products including PowerPoint.• Knowledge of benefits contract language.• Knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, Medicare, and Social Security and DOL requirements.• Ability to explain detailed benefits information, both verbally and in writing.• Self-motivated and highly attentive to detail• Ability to stay organized and track ongoing issues.• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.• Customer service-oriented and comfortable working with individuals at all levels of the organization.Desired Qualifications• Experience with Workday• Experience working with a global employee population• Professional designations such as PHR, SHRM-CP, CEBS, etc.• Experience at a consulting firm or other professional service-oriented companyCandidate must be able to submit verification of their legal right to work in the U.S., without company sponsorship.Salary range: $75-95k#LI-AW1
