ABOUT THE TEAM

The product management team is focused on expanding the capabilities of our platform, which will enable our quickly growing enterprise offering to meet a large market opportunity. We serve the needs of our enterprise partners by helping them make their life insurance products more accessible to their customers. We work closely with cross-functional teams both within Bestow and externally at Enterprise customers to understand the industry's needs and drive platform evolution.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Product Manager who is passionate about tackling complex problems along our journey to building a world-class life insurance Enterprise SaaS platform. This product manager will work closely with our cross-functional teams to prioritize a roadmap that moves key success metrics, ensuring all aspects are considered, from user experience to compliance, technology, and more. This role will primarily focus on the new business application portion of our platform and serve two primary users: 

Underwriters: Underwriters utilize our solution to build instant-issue rules and leverage our tooling for applications that need manual review. Your goal is to provide them with a functionally robust and cost-reducing underwriting engine. 

Agents & Applicants: Our platform's B2B2C users are the agents and applicants purchasing life insurance from our carrier customers on our software. Your goal is to provide transparency into the complex world of underwriting, help them navigate competing requirements, and exit with the needed transparency into the outcome that encourages those who are approved to purchase. 

To accomplish your goals, you will work closely with two engineering teams, our UX team and our TPMs, and interface with internal and external stakeholders, including insurance experts, compliance, legal, and more. You will be supported by our ~10-person product management team and two senior PMs, in particular, who also work on the Origination Platform. 

This role reports to our Director, Product Management and is open to Remote- US

• 2+ years in a product management role
• Preference given to past experience with the insurance industry (or fintech) and/or enterprise SaaS platforms
• Experience leading cross-functional customer-facing meetings
• Excellent communication skills through verbal, written, and visual mediums
• Ability to clearly communicate priorities and promote alignment across teams
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in engineering, UX, insurance operations, and customer service
• Ability to lead cross-functionally through influence rather than authority
• Comprehensive understanding of how platform features impact customer journeys
• A track record of delivering high-quality projects on time
• Experience writing software functional requirements in an agile environment
