About Bevel

At Bevel, we’re on a mission to extend the universal health span. The first product we are building is a mobile app that connects your health data across different platforms to help you track and monitor various parts of your life, such as sleep, recovery, and activity levels.

We’re a small team of builders and creatives based in NYC. We are extremely passionate about our craft and view Bevel as part of our life’s work. We care deeply about maintaining harmony in all aspects of life and know when to work hard and when to take breaks.

Bevel launched earlier this year, and we’ve been lucky to see incredible growth and support from our users. We’re looking to bring on additional data scientists to help us build an ambitious roadmap. Responsibilities 

• Build, design, and deploy end-to-end models related to health & fitness

• Use advanced ML techniques (e.g., embeddings, transformers) to find patterns in complex datasets

• Work with product and engineering teams to ship new features

• Improve our data pipeline and model performance

• Stay current with health and fitness research

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in machine learning and data science

• Brilliant at math and statistics

• Strong skills in Python and SQL

• Experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch

• Great at communicating ideas

• A strong bias for action

• Know when to ask for help and how to help others

• Excited about improving the health & fitness of others
