Assistant Teacher: Houston, TX

Bezos Academy seeks Assistant Teachers to support early-childhood education using the Montessori method in Houston preschools. Ideal candidates should be passionate about children's development.

Skills

Experience working with young children
Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness
Ability to communicate effectively with children
Basic knowledge of Montessori pedagogy

Responsibilities

Assist Lead Teachers in developing and implementing educational programs
Support student learning and development in the classroom
Maintain a nurturing and safe classroom environment
Observe and assess each child's progress
Participate in team meetings and family conferences

Education

High school diploma or GED is required
Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred
