As the Family Engagement Project Manager at Bezos Academy, you will build the internal systems and processes needed to monitor and assess the quality and efficacy of family engagement programs and projects across our network of Montessori-inspired, tuition-free preschools in under-resourced communities in multiple states. Your core charge is to ensure our leaders—local in schools, regional, and national—have an accurate picture of Bezos Academy families’ engagement and satisfaction, and that the organization is on track to implement aligned actions in the spirit of continual improvement.
To accomplish this, you will help establish and evolve annual family engagement goals and monitor progress against those goals. You will collaborate cross-functionally to improve and refine our family survey, family conference processes, and data collection related to child registration and enrollment. You will support collection of school-level data about family engagement activity and leverage your expertise in family engagement to identify patterns and measure performance against key outcomes. A disseminator of best practices, you will highlight and make recommendations to district school leaders about needed areas of focus and help inform the ongoing professional development of school teams. You will monitor each geographic district’s recruitment plan and use weekly student admissions data to help districts adjust their strategies on the ground to improve results.
Additionally, you will support implementation of both annual core processes and programs (e.g., updating the family handbook, supporting schools to set strong engagement calendars, etc.) as well as new initiatives and programs, such as rollout of family councils at all our preschools. You juggle multiple projects and initiatives well and are comfortable navigating ambiguity and change. You draw on your judgment and experience in both family engagement and project management to prioritize your time to ensure we have an indelibly positive impact on Bezos Academy families.
