As the Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at Bezos Academy, you are an experienced finance leader who will architect financial models for our new strategic initiatives as we grow our multi-state network of tuition-free Montessori-inspired preschools and other products. You will provide strategic business decision-making support and leadership across the organization, while implementing and leading cost management and go-to-market financial strategy. In this strategic, hands-on role, you will leverage your problem-solving skills to build, streamline, and enhance our financial modeling and portfolio management to scale financial practices across functions and business lines. You will deliver timely and relevant insights, analyze data, drive reporting improvements, and interact with various organization stakeholders. You thrive and succeed in a high-growth environment, comfortably navigating ambiguity and competing priorities. You will roll up your sleeves daily and operate at all levels of detail. Above all, you are inspired by our mission to expand access to high quality, tuition-free preschools in under-resourced areas and excited to support our organizational growth in the early childhood education space.LOCATION• Flexible in the United States; Seattle, WA preferred• Relocation support is available for those willing to relocate to SeattleCompensation & Benefits• This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, salaried position.• The full salary range for this position, across all United States geographies, is $111,000- $230,000 per year. The upper portion of the salary range is typically reserved for employees who have been in the role for multiple years and have demonstrated strong performance over time. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience; during the interview process, candidates will learn the starting salary range applicable for their location.• This role includes 15 paid days of vacation, 4 days of paid personal time off, 7 paid days of sick (care) time, 9 paid holidays, 5 paid days off for an organization-wide winter break, and additional time off if required by applicable law. Please see here for details.Minimum Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience• Eight or more years of progressive finance experience across commercial and/or research and development teams• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (i.e., index match, VBA, macros, functions such as goal seek, automated error-checking, joining multiple workbooks, etc.)• Working proficiency in SQL• Experience working with analytical tools, modeling methods, and financial reporting systems such as NetSuite, Vena, Hyperion / Oracle FP&A Suite etc.• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts for a variety of audiences at all levels of the organization• Demonstrated financial acumen and analytical experience delivering portfolio analysis, program valuation (internal rate of return / return on investment), and complex business modelingPreferred Qualifications• Advanced degree in finance, economics, or related field• Experience translating business objectives into financial data structures used to measure performance and support decision-making• Comfort and confidence leveraging analytics and data visualization software (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, etc.)• Experience serving as a finance subject matter expert, leading and/or partnering with cross-functional businesses while supporting senior leadership• Experience automating systems and simplifying processesJob DescriptionPlease click here for a full job description.Bezos Academy participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with employee Form I-9 Information to confirm authorization to work in the U.S. Bezos Academy only uses E-Verify once a candidate has accepted a job offer and completed the Form I-9.
