BI Developer II

HKS Dallas is seeking a BI Developer II to join our team.

Contributes and assists in the design and development of BI solutions while working independently with guidance. Leads the design and implementation of solutions ranging from data lake development to dashboards. Eager to learn and innovate. Anticipates job expectations while performing design and technical tasks requiring application of standard techniques and knowledge.

• Collaborates in the development of reporting solutions for the business
• Manages dashboard design and creation
• Assists with development of data lake structures
• Manages the design and development of reporting datasets
• Assists with creation and enforcement of processes and procedures
• Supports ad hoc reporting as needed
• Closes out projects upon completion as needed
• Compiles information for auditing information internally as needed
• Acts with positive, service-driven attitude with a commitment to going above and beyond to help customers and team members
• May act as a mentor by coaching and motivating project team members
• Seeks leadership opportunities by providing direction and feedback to team members and collaborating with team leaders
• Fosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the project team
• Travel may be required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Typically with 3 – 5 years of experience in business intelligence systems
• Azure and SQL Server certifications preferred
• Experience with the full SQL Server stack and Microsoft’s Azure cloud preferred
• Experience with Power BI preferred
• Experience in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook and Word
• Strong customer service, interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff
• Strong work ethic and eagerness to produce high quality, accurate results
• Ability to hold sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and integrity
• Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing
• Ability to proactively problem solve and apply innovative solutions
• Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment, and ability to work independently and prioritize work
• Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
