Dr. Biden Video Producer/Director

The Biden for President campaign is seeking a talented, experienced digital video

expert to help guide Dr. Biden’s campaign video program. The Producer/Director will

work closely with their colleagues on Dr. Biden’s video team to ensure both rapid

response and proactive video production proceeds smoothly, help shape the digital

content strategy, and to edit/shoot content whenever necessary. The ideal candidate for

this role has experience managing creatives and giving feedback, as well as experience

producing, shooting, and editing digital videos. Candidates should be comfortable

working independently in an ever-changing environment. This position reports to Dr.

Biden’s Digital Director.

•  Help manage the Dr. Biden’s video team and foster a positive team culture
• Help establish priorities and timelines for producing high-performing videos
• Give notes and constructive feedback on video cuts
• Help guide videos through the internal approval process
• Help manage vendors and freelancers
• Help manage video shoots and logistics of capturing video at campaign events
• Help guide video strategy and insure the video team is improving performance and achieving goals

• Capture video from Dr. Biden’s political events
• Help set up and manage video shoots
• Work under tight deadlines to create original, shareable videos for social platforms
• Edit videos using a mix of original footage, news footage, and archival footage
• Come up with high-potential concepts for new videos
• Create videos tied to big events, such as rallies and debates
• Communicate across departments to ensure that videos accomplish collective goals
• Guide videos through the internal approvals process
• Analyze video performance and use data to ensure that videos have the potential to reach millions of people

• Experience managing creatives
• Experience producing and shooting political content
• Experience producing high-performing videos for social media
• Deep knowledge of social media platforms and an understanding of how to optimize videos for each
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• The ability to work quickly and efficiently in high-pressure situations
• The ability to collaborate respectfully and effectively with others
• Experience working with and filming principals is a bonus
