Position Overview

Billing Implementation Specialist (BIS) is a business management position where the Individual is responsible for the billing implementation and financial health of the practice. The BIS is the client’s primary billing contact. BIS works very closely with the Project Managers at eClinicalWorks implementing integrated EMR-PM solution.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating the clients billing requirements (HCFA/ UB/Dental/ sliding fee schedules)
  • Creating and educating customers on best practice workflow
  • Responsible for content build in the software to ensure good billing workflows
  • Work closely with the Implementation team assigned to ensure proper system build and billing setup
  • Knowledge of clearing house enrollment concept and purpose along with giving guidance to client to facilitate the enrollment processes
  • Responsible to set up the client’s system and train them on using eClinicalWorks software based on their workflow using best practices of billing
  • Establish and maintain a working relationship with provider offices
  • Train the client remotely on how to use the software to conduct their billing processes
  • Proactively analyzes the client’s financial health monthly to identify reimbursement trends, patterns of denials and to develop an intimate understanding of the factors that are contributing to the clients’ financial performance
  • Making workflow recommendations to clients to improve their back-office operation.
  • Understanding of Month End Reporting and processes

Requirements

  • 3 year years of medical billing experience and knowledge of RHC/ASC/FQHC/Dental billing requirements
  • 3 years of experience with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial paper, and electronic claims processing.
  • 3 years of experience of knowledge of ICD, CPT, HCPC coding, ability to read EOB/ERAs, HCFA, Dental, UB claim submission, post payments and refunds
  • 3 years of experience in eligibility verification, familiarity with HIPAA rules
  • 3 years of experience with billing workflow knowledge (claim life cycle)
