Software Architect

Apply your technical skills leading teams in our Life Sciences Group that are the responsible for designing, developing, and deploying applications that connect and control Bio-Rad life science research platforms using web technology. You will mentor teams with talented developers and promote a culture of learning. Not only will your work create value and drive forward our products and solutions, it will also optimize our users' experience - enabling our customers to make scientific breakthroughs that save lives. How You'll Make An Impact: Work collaboratively with software leadership, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand high-level requirements. Dive into our software ecosystem to help steer the direction and long term solutions. Provide hands-on technical leadership in the development team. Connect with customers to build the right solutions solving their needs. Drive the implementation of development activities, both individually and as the technical lead of a team of developers. Work collaboratively with software leadership, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand high-level requirements and develop software architecture and design. Contribute in technical conversations and code reviews to ensure both design and code are up to the highest standards for software development. Like to work in a high pace environment. Dive into difficult problems and successfully deliver results on schedule. Demonstrated knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). What You Bring: Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field. Work Experience: 10 years of experience in roles related to software development, with a focus on web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, etc Experience in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and user-friendly web applications that meet the needs and expectations of customers and users. Proficient with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and their services and tools for web development. Demonstrated cross functional systems delivery of complex hardware and software platforms. Preferred experience fostering Agile software and systems development in a regulated environment. Knowledge of current and emerging web technologies and trends, and the ability to evaluate and adopt new solutions as needed. Ability to coordinate with peers and other teams to ensure cross-functional alignment, a proven history of collaborative success. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
