Senior DevOps Engineer (Network Specialist)

BitMEX, the world’s leading cryptocurrency derivatives trading platform, is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (Network Specialist) to join the Platform Engineering team. The candidate will play a key role in managing and supporting the infrastructure that drives the platform, focusing on optimizing network performance for low-latency, high throughput operation of the trading exchange.

Skills

Theoretical and practical networking knowledge
Professional experience with kernel troubleshooting
Strong practical AWS knowledge
Familiarity with Kubernetes, Ansible, Chef
Programming proficiency in Python, Golang, C, NodeJS

Responsibilities

Continuously improve resiliency, throughput, and latency profiles of trading systems
Manage and support AWS cloud infrastructure, EC2 instances, and physical servers
Develop and manage IaC for infrastructure consistency
Ensure security hardening of OS builds and configurations
Integrate stack with Kubernetes
Design, implement, and test disaster recovery capabilities
Participate in an on-call rota for escalations
