Your Purpose
At Bitso, the Principal Engineer in the Mobile Team plays a pivotal role in driving our mobile technology strategy. This key position involves advanced technical capabilities and a strong emphasis on collaboration, innovation, and strategic impact in the mobile space..
Who You Are
- At least 10 years of experience in software engineering, with a significant focus on mobile application development.
- Demonstrated mastery in mobile technologies, with hands-on experience in both iOS and Android platforms and proficiency in cross-platform development frameworks.
- Strategic thinker with a solid understanding of current and forthcoming mobile technologies.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Experience leading and delivering complex mobile development projects successfully.
- A strong advocate for a collaborative, innovative, and agile engineering culture.
- Comprehensive knowledge of integrating mobile applications with Rest APIs and experience in working with modularized apps.
- Fluency in English, both oral and written. Proficient in technical and strategic discussions, being able to adapt language to the background of stakeholders.
What You Will Do
- Lead the development and deployment of mobile solutions, focusing on native (iOS and Android) and cross-platform applications.
- Play a pivotal role in shaping Bitso's mobile technology strategy, ensuring it aligns with its overall vision and needs while responding to emerging market trends.
- Promote excellence in mobile engineering practices, advocating for efficiency, a culture of continuous improvement, and innovation within the team.
- Facilitate collaboration across the company to integrate mobile development tools and processes effectively, enhancing productivity and product quality.
- Uphold and advance mobile application security protocols to provide users with reliable and secure experiences.
- Manage complex mobile technology initiatives from conception to execution, ensuring timely delivery of impactful results.
- Engage with the Bitso engineering community to drive knowledge sharing, innovation, and effective problem-solving in mobile technology.
- Influence key mobile technology decisions, integrating them into the company's broader engineering and business strategies.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members, emphasizing best practices in mobile development and efficient lifecycle management.
