Marketing Manager

BKF Engineers is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Marketing Manager to join our growing team. We are looking for a candidate who is organized, is self-driven, efficient with deadlines, and is able to work effectively with diverse teams of engineers, marketers, and design staff to lead the development of persuasive and standout deliverables. In this role you will be a marketing leader collaborating with peers within the marketing and business development team. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, updating, and up-leveling the platform and resources our marketers use to develop winning proposals and interviews. Additionally, you will be collaborating with the team to develop and execute compelling written and visual content that promotes BKF’s services.

Responsibilities may include:

Manages and trains BKF’s exceptional, dynamic, and award-winning marketing team

Conducts regular updates for training materials
Identifies and manages ongoing subject matter training

Manages Firm-Wide Proposal and Interviews

Prioritizes multiple concurrent high-quality pursuits, proposals, and presentations by assigning workload for and including:

prime and sub-consultant proposals and interviews,
layout, formatting, proofreading, coordinating graphics, and editing/reviewing

Ensures RFP compliance/requirements and that QA/QC is completed on all marketing-generated materials before submission
Serve as the primary point of contact for proposal coordinators and teams
Ensures timely proposal production and delivery for all marketing proposals and qualifications packages
Identifies and leads the develops creative assets to uplevel pursuits

Reinforces best practices to marketing, BD, and technical team members
Maintains and improves marketing team efficiencies and increases competitiveness in Market Sectors

Manages, identifies needs, develops, and maintains marketing assets, including project descriptions, photos, references, graphics, and other data
Regularly trains team members on the use of materials.

Manage and maintain BKF’s organized filing system for proposals, including databases
Gather, format, and maintain accurate, up-to-date firm marketing information
Manages and leverages marketing to maintain record integrity in Deltek, Open Asset, and Hubspot
Plan and execute various marketing campaigns in support of the firm’s strategic plans

Coordinate and produce award and recognition submittal packages in collaboration with Communications Team member
Collaborate on marketing and communications campaigns as needed
Assist with special projects as needed
On occasion, may require flexible hours
Travel between BKF offices and other off-site locations may be required

Knowledge and experience required:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or English Degree or equivalent demonstrated experience.
7 years of experience with the proposal process and proposal production, preferably with an A/E/C firm
Compensation and title commensurate with experience
Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Must have the ability to work well with others especially department managers, project managers and anyone involved in business development efforts
Prefer strong Graphic Design eye, but not required
Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Deltek Vision experience a plus

Location & Salary

BKF supports a healthy work-life balance and utilizes a hybrid model of home and office work. This position will be based out of any of the following offices: Newport Beach, Walnut Creek , or Santa Rosa.

The salary range for this position is anticipated to be $100,000 - 142,000 and may vary based on education, experience, qualifications, skills, geographic location, and performance.
