Prior Authorization Specialist (ON SITE)

Responsibilities
- Assist in the initiation of new prior authorization requests
- Identify the correct prior authorization form for the patient’s insurance provider
- Coordinate with prescribers and medical offices for information translation
- Follow up with medical offices on prior authorization status
- Communicate the status of prior authorizations to patients and providers
- Coordinate with medical offices to handle Appeals
- Respond to internal questions from other departments
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
