Blockdaemon is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join our rapidly growing Wallet Engineering team in NYC. As a key member of this team, you will report to the Lead QA Engineer and bring your expertise in quality assurance methodologies, software test creation, and execution. In this role, you will collaborate closely with department management and team members to ensure we continue delivering high-quality software to our customers and partners.

Collaborate with team members and department management to create and execute comprehensive test plans and environments that ensure high-quality software delivery.
Own assigned test areas and identify tests to be automated, promoting efficiency and continuous improvement in the process.
Perform acceptance, functional, negative, and regression tests for product features.
Identify and document software issues clearly in the defect tracking system, ensuring transparency and a smooth resolution process.
Assist development engineers in diagnosing product defects identified internally or by the support team, providing valuable insights and feedback.
Use TestRail for creating, managing, and tracking required testing, ensuring thorough coverage and accuracy.
Provide daily updates on testing status to the engineering team, keeping everyone aligned and informed.
Integrate automation and functional QA tools to enhance testing processes and effectiveness.
Create automated tests, documenting processes and tools for better knowledge sharing and process improvement.
Create Load and Stress testing plans and execute them regularly to ensure scalability and resilience.
Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to a diverse range of initiatives.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in creating, maintaining, and executing system and API test automation.
Familiarity with industry-standard QA tools used to create, track, and manage test cases.
Experience in identifying and reporting issues using defect-tracking tools, ensuring accountability and tracking progress.
Strong background in creating and executing functional, regression, and integration tests, with a disciplined approach to testing and defect reporting.
A solid understanding of Quality Assurance methodologies and processes, with a focus on best practices and continuous improvement.
Strong understanding of the SDLC and how quality assurance integrates throughout the development lifecycle.
Ability to effectively interact with test, development, and support groups, contributing to a positive and productive environment.
Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with a history of taking initiative and a strong focus on interpersonal communication.
Proficiency in JavaScript and experience with Golang, Python, or similar programming languages.
Experience with API testing, CLI, and logging tools.
Experience testing web applications across multiple browsers, ensuring compatibility and usability.
Direct experience in testing software on mobile devices, both Android and iOS, to ensure a consistent user experience across platforms.
Experience working in a SCRUM/Agile environment, adapting quickly to changing requirements and priorities.

Pay range is $130,000- $160,000. Salary ranges are based on role, level, and location. The range shown reflects the target minimum and maximum for the role across all U.S. locations. Actual pay is determined by location, skills, and relevant experience.
