What You’ll Do

As our Talent Acquisition Leader, you'll design, implement, and execute the global sourcing, recruitment, and hiring strategies for Blockworks. You'll play an instrumental role in helping us sustainably scale our team, capabilities, and employer brand. In addition to owning and hosting the candidate experience, you'll work closely with hiring leaders as a strategic consultant on the hiring and selection of our future team members. Finally, you'll work hand-in-hand with the rest of the People & Culture team to help shape the overall experience of the team and culture at Blockworks.

Every day will look a little different, but in general, you will do things like:

  • Lead the Hiring Strategy: You'll be responsible for providing strategic direction and seamless execution of our global talent acquisition and recruitment efforts.

  • Own Full Lifecycle Recruiting: You'll own and execute all hiring and selection processes and ruthlessly build a pipeline of talent at all experience levels to fill roles for our fastest-growing teams, including Engineering, Research, and Sales.

  • Directly Source and Manage Hiring: You'll personally lead the sourcing and hiring of all roles and will proactively and regularly use data to deliver insight into role-specific and market hiring trends.

  • Build our Employer-Brand: In partnership with the rest of the People & Culture Team, you'll design and deliver our employer brand strategies and campaigns, including hiring events, social media, and industry engagement, to drive candidate engagement and boost Blockwork's brand.

  • Lead Social and Diversity Sourcing Strategies: You'll be the architect of our social media talent strategy to identify, attract, and engage world-class, diverse talent to join Blockworks now and in the future.

  • Help Shape People & Culture Experiences: You'll partner with other People & Culture team members to create and facilitate a seamless handoff for new team members, design new people programs, and develop an overall exceptional employee experience.

Experimentation is frequent at Blockworks. Comfortability with being uncomfortable is a must.

What You’ve Done Before

You have several years of direct experience leading the TA function and successfully recruiting for high-growth technology or crypto startups, and are excited to share some of your most impressive results. You've developed and maintained robust talent pipelines through both passive and active recruiting channels, and consider yourself an exceptional technical recruiter who knows how to find and attract world-class talent. You have played a major role in helping a company scale its team by building a strong employer brand, unique sourcing strategies, and an authentic and delightful candidate experience. You have regularly improved your craft by using technology and cutting-edge industry insights.

It’d Be Great If You’ve Done This

Having a deep-seated understanding of the competitive talent landscape in crypto and SaaS as well as having demonstrated experience scaling quality product and engineering teams will move you to the top of the list. Having been in the early stages of a fast-growing software or crypto startup, with a desire to repeat this journey will set you apart from other candidates. An in-depth background in executive talent sourcing and the supporting processes may also set you apart from other candidates but isn't required. Lastly, we'd love to have someone with experience successfully designing and facilitating hiring on a global scale.

Salary, Benefits, & How We Work

This is a full time exempt position with an expected salary of $150,000/year.
