Bloom is a full-service workplace design consultancy representing a Ghlee on their search for a Content Marketing Manager to join their team. As Talent Advisors, we will be the liaison between Ghlee and yourself during this recruitment process. We do not use fancy tech to search through resumes at Bloom; every resume is reviewed by a human to ensure that we attain a consistent and equitable interview process. We’re Varun Sharma and Arati Sharma, the Co-Founders of Ghlee, a ghee-based skincare brand founded in Toronto, Canada. 


Growing up in a South Asian home, we spent hours listening to our mom talk about the wonders of ghee一all the amazing ways we could use it in the kitchen, and the wonders it could do for our skin. Fast forward to 2018, Varun started tinkering with all-natural ingredients and ghee to formulate our first lip balm (as per our mom’s suggestion).


And as always, she was right, and Ghlee was born.


We’re working on new products and so much more ー this is why Ghlee needs you. We’re looking for a versatile Content Marketing Manager who will write, produce, and edit stories celebrating cultural heritage & Ghlee’s brand narrative, engaging our community, and driving growth through compelling content.

What you will be doing
  • Producing (including writing or editing) high-quality written content, such as blog posts, articles, social media posts, email newsletters, product descriptions, and website copy.
  • Conceptualizing and executing the content strategy across different channels that will promote Ghlee’s brand narrative and cultural heritage.
  • Collaborating on our overall brand and creative direction for all creative projects.
  • Identifying our audience, overall tone and message - and making evolutions when needed. 
  • Delivering high production value content, design, and formats
  • Managing, recruiting, and commissioning freelance writers and content creators.
  • Strategically planning and designing effective omnichannel campaigns and content plans that leverage the potential channels to expand our community. 
  • Looking after our community, responding to comments and DMs; ensuring our audience and customers are taken care of. 
  • Diving deep into the analytics and metrics to further understand our digital outreach.
  • Overseeing our marketing administration, from our marketing calendar to vendor management.
  • Ensuring Ghlee’s unique voice and image are consistently reflected across all our digital platforms.


What you bring to the table
  • It would be great if you have experience working within the South Asian community or with a South Asian brand.
  • You are experienced in digital journalism with a production media background.
  • You have a passion for telling homegrown stories. 
  • You have the ability and the instincts to look for what makes a great story. 
  • You are a top-notch writer and editor, from the pre-draft to line edits. 
  • Your attention to detail is high.
  • You are able and comfortable working on several writing projects at once.
  • You have familiarity with content management systems and story production.
  • You are a strong and proactive communicator across any medium (email, video, phone, etc.) to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders. 
  • You have experience working with other creative professionals. (Bonus points if you already have a circle of creatives that you work with already)
  • You understand and can cater your work to the tastes of different social audiences.


The interview process
  • Video screen with Agnes (Talent Advisor from Bloom)
  • 60-minute video interview with Varun Sharma
  • 60-minute video interview with Arati Sharma
  • Take-home social media + content assignment
  • 60-minute video/in-person interview + assignment presentation with Varun and Arati.

Location
  • We are currently based in Toronto, ON. Due to the nature of the opportunity, elements of this role will require a mixture of remote and in-person work. There may be occasional domestic and/or international travel in the future. 
  • Your typical week will be Monday to Friday during EST business hours, however, some evenings and/or weekends may be necessary.


$60,000 - $80,000 a year
- Annual Salary ranges from $60,000 to $80,000* 
- 15 days of vacation

*We understand that this is a wide compensation range. This is to allow the hiring team to consider different levels of experience.
