Data Engineer

Bloomerang provides a leading CRM platform for nonprofits, combining innovative software and exceptional customer service to help organizations raise more funds and operate effectively. They are seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain scalable data pipelines and integrate AI-driven insights to support their growing nonprofit customer base.

Skills

Proficiency in Google BigQuery and SQL for complex data analysis.
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT platforms like Fivetran or Stitch.
Experience integrating AI services and LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock).
Programming skills in Python or similar languages.
Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and pipeline architecture.
Experience with API integrations and diverse data sources.
Knowledge of data governance, security, and access control.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
Experience with version control and CI/CD workflows.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design and build scalable data pipelines using Google BigQuery.
Develop comprehensive data models capturing nonprofit health metrics.
Integrate off-the-shelf LLMs and AI services for intelligent data processing.
Collaborate with product teams to deliver AI-powered data solutions.
Maintain data infrastructure integrating multiple databases and APIs.
Create automated data quality monitoring and validation processes.
Document data architecture, pipelines, and AI integration workflows.
Translate business requirements into technical AI-enhanced data solutions.
Optimize data workflows for performance and cost-effectiveness in cloud environments.

Education

3-5 years of experience in data engineering or related field.
Experience working in SaaS or technology companies is preferred.
