Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin’s vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will support the performance of day to day tactical purchasing functions for various spaceflight systems as well as negotiate and manage Master Service Agreements, and Consulting and Professional Service Agreements with consultants and service providers to support various departments and programs. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of supplier communications, contract pricing, quality, and build schedule and will be responsible for supplier management and performance. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Responsibilities• Work with internal stakeholders to create supplier selection criteria and create Requests for Proposal to solicit bid responses to meet company objectives.• Work with internal stakeholders to develop Statements of Work and appropriate payment milestone schedules. Hold supplier accountable for their performance to the SOW.• Coordinate supplier set up documentation for new suppliers and negotiate Non-Disclosure Agreement, Master Service Agreement or Consulting and Professional Service Agreement language with suppliers.• Manage and develop strategic suppliers.• Evaluate current processes and practices to identify areas for improvement projects using Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.• Accountable for Purchase Order life cycle management from requisition to invoice payment.• Serve as an escalation point for the resolution of discrepancies related to purchasing, delivery, receiving, accounts payable invoices, and payment to the supplier.• Serve as an escalation point for issues and challenges around supplier order management.• Monitor suppliers’ performance and prepare reports and other records. Conduct supplier business reviews and develop plans to improve supplier performance• Support team of buyers with order management, backlog monitoring, daily status, report tracking and schedule risks to "share the load" for surge capacity.Qualifications• Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in space!• 2+ years’ experience in purchasing for Buyer II role• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field• Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment to accomplish goals while managing multiple tasks• Strong contract negotiation skills, with experience completing negotiations with little oversight and direction• Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook and Windows programs (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, and independently.• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylumDesired• Experience in research and development purchasing in a collaborative, fast paced, team environment• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Toyota Production System or other continuous improvement methodologies• Experience with aerospace defense industry products preferred• Experience with Costpoint and Coupa purchasing system and JIRA Atlassian software• APICS, CPM, CSCP certification or equivalentCompensation Range ForWA applicants is $67,770.00-$94,878.00Other Site Ranges May DifferApplications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.Inclusivity StatementDon’t meet all desired requirements?
