You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of supply chain operations, driving organizational and policy change to enhance Blue Origin’s bottom-line.Our Supply Chain Manager I – Supply Chain & Logistics will ensure program requirements are appropriately prioritized and executed to meet the needs Blue Origin. The Manager is responsible for managing team performance to organizational SLA targets for procurement and supplier management, including requisition placement, PO management and supplier on-time delivery. Our Supply Chain Manager I will develop, mentor, coach, and engage the Blue Origin Supply Chain buyers and subcontracts administrators. They will foster proper engagement with the program functional teams and facilitate communication of requirements and status to program and business area stakeholders.This leader will be competent in Blue Origin Supply Chain compliance standards, strategies, and initiatives regarding commodity Buyer and or Subcontract Administrator team management requirements, and program integration. This leader has strong leadership skills, excellent oral and written skills, high level of organization and solid communication skills. They have experience preparing and issuing Requests for Proposal and Quotes (RFP & RFQ), performing cost analysis in support of proposals, and have developed negotiation strategies and lead formal negotiations on all levels including but not limited to Terms and Conditions and best value strategy initiatives. This leader will manage the team that places subcontracts/ purchase orders of varying complexity in accordance with all regulatory and corporate compliance and applicable Government requirements. This leader requires technical leadership competencies to form strategies to construct various contracting types for major procurement activities to meet the requirements of the programs and needs of the business to include continuous improvement initiatives, and identification of opportunities for enhanced efficiencies. They will support the overall procurement organization’s strategic direction and ensure corporate strategic objectives are achieved to include delivery of production materials that are on time, within budget and meet technical performance requirements.Key candidate attributes to facilitate success in this role include influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis, and problem solving. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Remote work is not available for this role.Qualifications• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, Master's degree with 3 years of experience in Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related industry experience.• Experience in research and development, spec requirements, build to print and COTS commodities procurement.• Understanding of US Government (FAR, DFAR, NASA Far Supplement) and non-US Government / Commercial acquisitions compliance.• Experienced knowledge / compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)• Experience with DCAA Audit and Fact Findings• Experience with most Contract Types (Firm-Fixed Price, Time & Material, Cost Plus, IDIQ)• Maintain compliant and accurate files and data records.• Strong analytical skills, data driven with experience in establishing and tracking program metrics• Interprets and applies company, policies, procedures, work instructions, business standards and U.S. government regulations, i.e., FAR, DFAR, SOX Compliance.• Create and maintain systems and processes to streamline operations.• Ensure timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives of the supply chain department.• Must have top notch people and communication skills.• Working understanding of AS9100 standards.• Knowledge of Engineering Data such as specifications, I.P. and data rights.• Basic understanding of budgeting/expense management with a basic understanding of financial information.• An eagerness to identify opportunities, find solutions, execute plans, and evaluate results critically and expediently• Highly analytical and critical thinker• Maintains passion for solving problems from end-to-end• Experience in engaging with and influencing leadership teams• Strong analytical skills, data driven with experience in establishing and tracking program metrics• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize workload• Track record of working in an ambiguous environment and ability to define processes that can scale• Adept at working with different systems and making recommendations on improvements for both systems and processes• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Desired• Experienced knowledge / compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS)• Experience with DCAA Audit and Fact Findings• Experience with most Contract Types (Firm-Fixed Price, Time & Material, Cost Plus, IDIQ)• Experience in assessing proposal compliance (FAR 15.4)• Experienced supporting DCMA Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) events.• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Certification• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification• Current active DOD Secret Security Clearance and/or Special AccessCompensation range for on site WA applicants is $116,010-$162,414Other Site Ranges May DifferApplications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.Inclusivity StatementDon’t meet all desired requirements?
