Director of Customer Supply Chain and Logistics

The Role

As the Director of Customer Supply Chain and Logistics, you will develop and continuously improve best-in-class assessment tools, partnerships and systems to deliver the right product to the right customer at the right time at the right internal cost across all our business channels. You will collaborate with various teams within the organization, including supply planning, demand planning, project management, product marketing, sales and finance to drive KPI improvement and execute projects on time. This role reports to the EVP of Operations.


Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the EVP of Operations in the development and execution of long-term distribution strategies
  • Own the 3PL, broker and carrier relationships inclusive of negotiations, scaling for growth, performance management, and process improvements
  • Track and communicate performance metrics (on time ship, in full ship, on time delivery, dock to stock, ship mode compliance, fifo compliance, etc.)
  • Partner with corporate finance team to budget outbound freight expenses, incorporating cost savings strategies and other initiatives
  • Drive operational excellence processes to improve OTIF, reduce/prevent compliance fees, improve inventory accuracy and reduce environmental impact
  • Monitor order flow to ensure all customer orders are received accurately by partners and trading documents (ASNs, Invoices, etc.) are transmitting
  • Continuous improvement of workflows between OMS, WMS, ERP, EDI and other systems while providing critical architecture insights while onboarding new systems
  • Building, training and coaching a team to support individual growth and department objectives
  • Support inventory management team by participating in cycle counts, ensuring 3PL resources are allocated to resolve issues and driving processes to prevent shrink


Qualifications:
  • 10 years of experience in Supply Chain for CPG companies
  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience with ability to assess gaps in current functionality
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, across functional teams
  • Proven track record of negotiating and contracting freight rates
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to process and analyze data utilizing use for long-term strategic decisions
  • Passionate about the environment, sustainability and Blueland’s mission


The salary range for this position is $135,000 - $175,000 per year.
