This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA or New York, NY – HYBRID.In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:Completes a high volume of end-to-end processes, including tax accounting, effectively uses tools and systems for resolving tax issues.Applies expertise and judgement in providing support for the global tax accounting teamPerforms complex tax activities including contributing to tax analyses and policy implementation, processing of records, journal entries and reconciliations.Apply computer skills and knowledge to drive increased efficiency through automationWork consistently aligns with generally accepted accounting principles and the tax strategy for the business/business partner area.Exposure and communication with all areas of the organization.Independently supports professional and management teams' completion of tax law and case research and analysis.With minimal guidance, helps with completing the day-to-day tax activities in accordance with corporate tax guidelines, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and tax law.Reviews and checks work of other Corporate Tax support staff and helps resolve escalated issues.May be responsible for specific supervisory review and approval actions.Responsible for the quality and completion of own work.Modified based upon local regulations/requirements.To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:Bachelor‘s Degree in Finance or Accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience.3-5 years of total work experience is preferred.Experience in tax accounting is preferred.BNY Mellon is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
