Product Designer (Contract)

About Bobbie Bobbie is creating a parenting culture of confidence, not comparison. And it starts with how we choose to feed our babies. We crafted our European style infant formula with purposefully sourced, organic ingredients to give parents a product they are proud to feed their babies, direct to their doorstep. Bobbie is proud to be the only US formula that is designed to meet both FDA and... EU standards. Although 83% of parents turn to formula in the first year of their baby's life, this is the silent majority that is often shamed for not being able to exclusively breastfeed. Co-founded by two moms and created by a team of mom scientists, nutritionists, pediatricians, and lactation consultants, the Bobbie team knows first hand that there is no one size fits all for feeding. With Bobbie, we hope you can Bottle Boldly. The Role: We're looking for a talented Contract Product Designer to support our Platform team as we create our best-in-class digital experience for our Bobbie customers. You'll be supporting the Lead Product Designer and will work collaboratively across the Bobbie team – including product managers, engineering, creative, and marketing. You will play a pivotal role in continuing to shape the user experience and interface of our DTC e-commerce site, ensuring they align with our brand identity and meet user needs effectively. What you will accomplish: • Create user-centric designs rooted in business requirements.. You'll be responsible for designing everything from net new customer experiences to campaign landing pages in partnership with our brand team to growth optimizations. • Own your own projects from concept to implementation while ensuring a high standard of quality (UX, UI, engineering handoff, and design QA). • Work closely with other designers across brand creative and product design, and engage with multiple project partners, including product managers, engineers, copywriters, and marketing managers to ensure that the user experience is simple, straightforward, and delightful. • Contribute to the development and maintenance of our design system to ensure consistency across our brand and all digital touch points. • Contribute to and own usability testing and user research to iterate and improve user experiences. What we would like you to have: • 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer or similar role in a startup or fast-paced environment. • Experience in e-commerce design and best practices. • A strong portfolio showcasing your design process, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. • A great aesthetic and have a solid understanding of color, typography, layout, UX/UI principles and best practices. • Comfortable adapting to and building on existing brand and product design systems • Excellent problem-solving skills, and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for platforms such as desktop and mobile. • Strong ability to communicate effectively and the ability to build good working relationships. • Ability to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines. You're inspired by our core values: • Be Radical - We are change makers, rule breakers and stigma shakers. We are unapologetically bold and use our megaphone for good. • Nurture the Tension - Parenthood is full of healthy tension, and so is building a company. We embrace the unknowns, practice humility and are a culture of learners. • Deliver Ounce by Ounce - Our customers have entrusted us to feed their babies. We lose sleep over the details, so they don't have to. • Don't Assume - We embrace our unique perspectives, withhold judgment, and find beauty in the paths that brought us all to Bobbie. Our strength is celebrating each other and our collective voice. Contract Details: • This is a temporary position covering a team member on leave (10 weeks starting in mid-July with possibility of extension). • Ability to work 32 hours per week; core hours required are Monday through Thursday 9am-2pm PT / 12pm-5pm ET. • Must provide your own computer equipment.
