The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is currently seeking an Experienced Contract Management Specialist to join the Phantom Works Contracts team in Berkeley or St. Charles, MO.
The person selected for this position will support the Advanced Weapons and Special Programs and Capabilities areas of Phantom Works, including multiple teams and customers. This position is the primary point of contact for the Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO). Phantom Works offers an excellent opportunity for Contracts Representatives to work in sole-source and competitive environments, get exposed to different customers and contract types, gain exposure with executive leadership and work in an area that is developing cutting edge technology and programs that may lead to the next major franchise for Boeing.
Position Responsibilities:
Exercises appropriate signature authority in negotiating and contracting for the sale and support of aerospace products, services, and technologies
Presents business solutions to preserve and expand the business
Represents the company in external negotiations to a diverse set of customers
Prepares, negotiates, executes, interprets and administers legally binding complex contractual agreements for The Boeing Company
Coordinates and partners with other internal functional disciplines
Summarizes complex contractual issues, develops creative solutions and coordination of contractual risk mitigation
Requests for Proposal (RFP) review, risk assessment, proposal kickoff, proposal development, negotiations, contract award, post award administration efforts, and closeout activities for United States Government (USG) contracts
Works contracts with other USG prime contractors and negotiates other types of Agreements such as Other Transaction Agreements (OTA), Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
3+ years of experience with Contract Data Management and/or Supplier Data Management
3+ years of experience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontracts
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience building, developing and maintaining customer relationships
5+ years of experience with the Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Experience with Adobe Acrobat
Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively across functions, with various levels of management and with external customers
Ability to work and manage multiple projects and programs
Ability to work independently or as a part of a team
Ability to proactively work issues with minimal direction
Ability to synthesize and analyze situations, summarize findings, and provide recommendations
