Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Tool Engineer to support our dynamic team in Hazelwood, Missouri!Position Responsibilities:• Evaluates program and project requirements, develops complex equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the Production System.• Compiles and analyzes technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design and rate estimates, identifies robotics, automation or technology recommendations and system integration for equipment and tooling.• Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.• Conducts reviews, prepares plans for productions readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares.• Develops and implements work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation.• Performs studies and make recommendation for disposition of assets.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location optionsThis position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):• Bachelor degree or higher in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry• 3+ years’ experience working in an engineering discipline• 1+ years’ experience in a tool / equipment engineering or tool manufacturing environment• Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):• Experience working in an Equipment or Tool Engineering role• Experience working in a production environment• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment• Experience modeling solid objects in a computer-aided design tool such as CATIA• Ability to collaborate with both the engineering work force and the mechanics on the factory floor• Strong communication skillsTypical Education / Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
