The Boeing CompanyJoin our Projects, Assets, Construction, and Engineering (PACE) team within Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF)! We are seeking a Mid-Level Facilities Project Management Specialist (Level 3) to support facilities projects located at our Everett facility.
Your onsite work location is Everett, Washington. This position involves overseeing projects that support both lifecycle infrastructure replacement along with manufacturing enabling initiatives. You will have the opportunity to lead cross-functional teams through a project lifecycle from initiating, planning, design, construction, commissioning, and closeout. You’ll be managing work executed by design & construction service providers as well as developing & presenting presentations and communicating to all levels of management.
Position Responsibilities:
Supports/manages a project team through initiating, planning, design, construction, commissioning, and closeout
Develops project requirements, integrated plans, and detailed work breakdown structure to achieve objectives within scope, budget, and schedule; monitors & communicates status, baselines, changes, risks/issues/opportunities; evaluates contractor proposals for fair and reasonable cost; administers contractor activities
Participates in contractor selection, contract change negotiations, constructability reviews, and cost/schedule visibility, such as management, customer & contractor reviews to ensure compliance; directs and integrates high impact facilities projects; obtains facilities design and resource commitments
Develops work packages (budget/funding source, schedule, drawings, specifications, statement of work, procurement, estimates); coordinates with stakeholders (customer, designers, environmental health & safety, security, and network infrastructure to create an agreed to implementation plan
Assembles & releases work packages by collecting and integrating various documents: facilities work order, contract service request, drawings, vendor quotes, schedule, permits
Evaluates requests and meets with customer to define requirements; identifies acceptable options to clarify needs & develops preliminary scope of work; creates layouts and conceptual designs; ensures compliance with Boeing & regulatory standards (city, county, state, federal); develops options so facilities modifications are accomplished within project objectives
Works with all parties to define functionality and constructability; develops conceptual, budgetary, and cost estimates to assist in business case analysis
Negotiates options with customer to select the best solution; ensures completion and retention of records for projects & audits
Updates appropriate documents, forms, permits, work management systems, commissioning and as-built drawings
Ensures project implementation meets established quality, cost, schedule targets and regulatory requirements; validates against acceptance criteria for new requests and acknowledges customer requests; assigns priorities & tasks in project management system to document, track, and perform work
Collaborates with project teams across PACE and other organizations
Possesses a mindset focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience managing cross functional teams through project lifecycle
3+ years of experience with scheduling software (MS Project, P6 or equivalent)
3+ years of experience identifying & managing project risks and opportunities
3+ years of experience in project or construction management
Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience reading & interpreting construction plans and specifications
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher
3+ years of experience monitoring & coordinating implementation activities (relocations, construction, utility shutdowns, budget management, schedule, and project reviews)
3+ years of experience with/knowledge of local, city, state and county codes and regulatory requirements
3+ years of experience working with building codes & commercial construction and interpreting highly complex drawings, schematics, equipment manuals
3+ years of experience with asset management and strategic long range business plans
3+ years of experience communicating to employees, customers, peers and all levels of leadership
3+ years with an industry project management software
