Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is seeking a Mid-level Occupational Health and Safety Specialist based out of Everett, WA.The selected candidate will join the Fabrication Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) team directly supporting the fabrication of Boeing aircraft interiors and electrical systems in Everett. As part of the EHS team you will support health and safety initiatives, projects targeting risk and injury reduction, and compliance to Boeing standards and policies. This position provides an opportunity for growth in a wide range of safety and health programs including (but not limited to): machine operations, automation, powered industrial trucks, hazardous energy control, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), crane operations, and ergonomics.The Fabrication EHS team is talented, diverse, and works closely with business partners at all levels; if you are the selected candidate you will have a “seat at the table.” The operations leadership team is supportive in injury-reduction tactics and committed to an Incident and Injury Free culture.Position Responsibilities:• Develops, implements and monitors occupational health and safety programs and processes• Develops and provides training and instructions• Evaluates the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations• Develops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections• Plans and conducts health and safety auditsThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position must meet export control compliance requirements. Tomeet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):• Bachelor degree or higher• 3+ years of experience working in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)• 3+ years of experience assessing and evaluating riskPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):• Certified safety professional• 3+ years of experience with safety and health audits• Experience in ergonomic evaluation, solution development, and implementationTypical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years related work experience, 9 years related work experience, etc.).Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Shift:This position is first shift.At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
