Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Manager (Level L) to join our dynamic team in El Segundo, California.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees and first-level managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals and objectives
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift however, candidates must be willing to work any shift as required.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Post Start is required.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • More than 5 years of experience in a leadership or management role
  • More than 5 years of experience with one or more of the following within the Manufacturing Operations function (Shop Floor Manufacturing Operations, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • More than 3 years of experience leading, managing, or implementing Lean+ initiatives
  • More than 3 years of experience leading or managing in a union represented environment
  • Excellent people, communication, and Leadership skills that can motivate employees

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.)

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 5% of the time.

Pay & Benefits:

The specific programs and options available to any given employee may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $133,450 - $180,550
