The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Structural Analysis Engineers to join the Airframe Structures Engineering team located in Oklahoma City, OK. A successful member of this team will understand and execute modifications and upgrades for the AWACS, AEW&C, Bombers (B-1, B-2 and B-52), or the Executive Transport Services & Systems (ETS&S) programs. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate and Experienced Level Structural Analysis Engineers. Position Responsibilities: Associate (Level 2) • Perform basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance • Support test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications • Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied • Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements • Work under general supervision Experienced (Level 3) • Develop, integrate and document structural requirements to establish the system design • Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment • Guide product design and verify structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance • Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications • Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied • Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements • Work under general direction This position is expected to be 100% onsite. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. • 1+ year of structural analysis engineering experience Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): • (Level 3) 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience • 5+ years of experience with Finite Element Models (FEM) • Active U.S. Secret Clearance or higher • Experience with structural design principles for aircraft primary structures (e.g., fatigue, damage tolerance, corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, and repair techniques) • Strong verbal and written skills, teaming skills, technical skills, and integration skills Typical Education/Experience: Associate (Level 2) Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Experienced (Level 3) Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
