Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) seeks Systems Engineers to join the The Missiles and Weapons Systems (MWS) Team in Hill AFB, Utah.
The MWS team is dynamic and growing with a leadership team focused on attracting and developing top talent in support of critical missions for National Defense and Strategic Deterrence. Connected to our customers' missions, we deliver unique capability through our exceptional talent.
Position Responsibilities:
• Assist with performance analysis to optimize total system and system architecture to solve complex missile defense problems.
• Support interdisciplinary, collaborative approaches to plan, design, develop, and verify system solutions.
• Assist with definition and coordination of system performance requirements and technical parameters.
• Assist with performance analysis for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, survivability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, product security (cybersecurity), and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
• Assist with risk assessments and generate mitigation plans for various programs with regard to compliance with system requirements and customer capabilities.
• Assist with development of verification and validation (V&V) methods, processes, logic, and plans in support of program milestones.
• Assist in developing and documenting electronic system and electrical system requirements.
• Use experience with circuit designers (PWB layout skills, thermal, power, EMI analyses).
• Assist in analyzing and translating requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs, and interface specifications.
• Assist with hardware and software integration in support of test execution.
• Assist in test and validation to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
• Utilization of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as DOORS, Cameo, and mathematical modeling and simulation to develop system definitions and perform trade studies in assigned areas.
This position is expected to be fully onsite at Hill AFT, UT.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• Experience in systems engineering.
• Experience or education in circuit design tools (SPICE, Mentor Graphics, Hardware Description Language [HDL]).
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Experience/knowledge in applying engineering processes and principles.
• Experience/knowledge or domain knowledge of system architecture, requirements, interface definition, verification, and validation.
• Experience/knowledge with systems development and integration.
• Experience/knowledge with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Understanding of statistical analysis, distributions, and sampling.
• Experience/knowledge in integration and test engineering.
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. You must be within commuting distance of the worksite or relocate at your own expense.

Summary pay range: 68,000 – 92,000
