Job PurposeTo measure, monitor and report on risks associated with Fixed Income investments specifically with agency mortgages, non-agency mortgages and mortgage derivatives assets.To communicate to the broader investment management platform the risks and trends in rates, mortgages and mortgage derivatives markets and portfolios.To serve as a key contributor to the team responsible for fixed income risk management of both the proprietary and external fixed-income investment portfoliosII. Key Responsibilities• Monitor mortgage prepayment assumptions being used across major vendor models and communicate key differences to portfolio managers and other stakeholders.• Provide recommendations to improve analytics and risk metrics for various mortgage securities such as CMOs, IOs, IIOs, POs etc.• Analyze key risk metrics and Option Greeks on tail hedges to assist portfolio managers in sizing trades across various investment strategies.• Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis and interpret results in terms of potential portfolio rebalancing / hedging.• Provide well-supported, understandable, and practical information to the investors to help them better manage portfolios.• Produce a suite of risk monitoring reports on a periodic basis and discuss findings with asset managers and senior members of the risk team.• Improve efficiency of risk reporting processes by automating reports and eliminating redundancies.• Lead value-added risk projects including research/development and implementation of risk models and forecasting tools, pricing and evaluation of new products, and development of risk reporting.III. Qualifications• Master’s degree with a major or subject focus on finance, economics or statistics required.• CFA or FRM designation or a progress towards similar certification strongly preferred.• 4-6 years of experience in risk management, trading, research or portfolio analysis.• Prior experience in fixed income specifically in valuation, hedging and attribution strongly preferred.• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to communicate and interact with senior management and portfolio managers.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.• Strong planning and organization skills are required. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.• Experience and proficiency with Blackrock Aladdin, MS SQL, Excel VBA, Bloomberg, Power BI preferred.IV. Additional InformationThis position requires the individual to work at-least 3 days a week on-site in the Atlanta office location.Compensation Pay DisclosureVoya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
