Bookkeeper:
Applies principles of accounting to bookkeeping/accounting transactions, prepares financial reports and enters information into QuickBooks as well as performs the following essential duties and responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Adds vendors, prepares and scans bills, enters A/P transactions, pays bills via online payment
- Adds customers, creates A/R invoices
- Creates AJE's monthly reports with supporting work papers
- Prepares sales tax and payroll reports
- Analyzes accounting data
- Prepares initial draft of financial statements
- Prepare and run payroll
- Pay Payroll Taxes Online
QUALIFICATIONS
To succeed at this position, and individual must be able to perform each of the above essential duties. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and /or ability required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Degree (BA/BS/AA) in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. PC skills required, QuickBooks experience a MUST, experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business and technical journals, financial reports ad legal documents, comprehend procedures and flows of accounting and effectively present information to supervisors.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems collects date, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables, must be detail oriented and create and follow procedures, organize and maintain numerous client details.
