As a data analyst at Booz Allen, you will use your skills and experience to support a mission and use data that make life-saving differences. We need a data analyst like you to bring your knowledge to mitigate human threats.
As a client-facing data analyst on our law enforcement team, you'll work closely with your clients to answer questions and understand their needs, and then deliver solutions as you dig into data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. Not only will you provide a deep understanding of their data, but you'll also advise your client on what the information means and how it can be used to make an impact to threat mitigation and case management. And you'll be presented opportunities to recommend new and better processes.
How You'll Contribute:
As a data analyst on our team, you'll:
• Use your technical knowledge and analytical mindset to inform client and stakeholder requirements.
• Research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through manipulation, extraction, and automation of large data sets.
• Contribute to impactful work and guide decision-making across multiple organizations.
• Apply people skills and data analytics experience to simplify technical requirements, results, and trends, based on your mixed target audience.
• Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of databases, scripting languages such as Python, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and Power BI.
• Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive outcomes.
• Apply data visualization in different formats, particularly focused on leveraging the functionality and benefits of Power BI.
• Grow your communication and technical skills by merging consulting and big data to create data-centric solutions across Law Enforcement.

You Have:
• 5+ years of experience with data analytics, statistical analysis, and data visualization concepts
• 4+ years of experience using Excel features, including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables, to maximize results from large data sets
• 2+ years of experience using Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau in big data environments to create interactive dashboards and features, actionable alerting, and deep data exploration
• Ability to facilitate data manipulation, data extraction, and automation tasks utilizing Python programming
• Ability to provide valuable insights for analysts by analyzing operational data in order to make logical conclusions
• Ability to effectively comprehend and decompose stakeholder data requirements, and report and communicate complex findings and dense data-rich results to non-technical decision-makers and stakeholders
• Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
• Experience using C# to facilitate data manipulation, data extraction, and automation tasks
• Experience leveraging Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) to automate processing and customize outputs
• Experience with SQL
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Master's degree
• Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate Certification
• Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Professional Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
