Job Number: R0204354QA TesterThe Opportunity:When a user tries a new system, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful information systems—and that means rigorous testing. That’s why we need you, an experienced quality assurance analyst who knows how to thoroughly test software and ensure that our team releases the best system possible.As a quality assurance expert, you’ll work with analysts and developers on an agile team to evaluate features of an enterprise information system and other related applications. You’ll develop and implement test plans based on requirements and functional specifications.Using software quality assurance, you’ll generate problem resolutions and track quality assurance standards to observe how the applications perform, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can improve the tool. You’ll expand upon your experience in various types of testing, including manual, automated, usability, user acceptance testing, and testing process improvement. The world can’t wait.You Have:• 2+ years of experience with quality assurance (QA)• 2+ years of experience with manual testing of software• Experience with test case planning and building a regression test case set• Experience with integration and regression testing• Experience with management software used for requirements, tasks, tests, and defects• Knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements• Bachelor’s degreeNice If You Have:• Experience with applying QA methodology in Agile or Scrum environments• Experience with automated testing of software• Experience with LIMS applications, including STARLIMS• Experience in public health• Ability to display a passion to deliver high quality software by breaking things• Possession of excellent oral and written communication skillsVetting:Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client.CompensationAt Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
