The primary responsibility of the Database Administrator is to build and maintain all database systems. This position reports to Manager - Database Operations in the Information Management Department and coordinates with other Information Technology departments and vendors. This position also assists during production incidents and resolution, which can occur anytime 24x7. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Installs, upgrades, and maintains database systems. Supports system storage for the databases and applications. Installs and maintains database server, replication, and client environments. Develops, reviews, and tunes scripts, triggers, and store procedures. Provides production and project support. Assists with production incidents and resolutions, including root cause analysis and recommendations. Implements database reporting and continuous improvement. Executes performance monitoring, reporting, and tuning of database systems. Supports and maintains back-ups and recovery process and procedures. Ensures audit trails are maintained through the use of manual or automated systems. Follow Senior and Lead DBA instructions and best practices. Assists in the design of database structures, packages, and procedures. Manages security access and controls. Performs job related duties as requested. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or experience. 3
years of database administration experience in a commercial environment, or prior relevant experience. PREFERRED:
Experience in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or Teradata. Experience in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 2005/2008/2012/2014/2016 and above, Oracle 11g/12c, or Teradata Studio. Experience in Relational database concepts. Experience in Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008/2012 and above, UNIX, Oracle Exadata, or AIX. Experience in data storage concepts. Experience in backup and recovery of database systems. Experience with the following:
Golden Gate Software; MS Clustering or Oracle RAC; SAN Tech; AD Security; Data Warehousing / Data Replication; Microsoft SSIS; Microsoft Terminal Server; AS400. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Gaming License KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Excellent customer service skills. Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both oral and written forms. Ability to work well under pressure. Strong problem trouble-shooting skills. Ability and knowledge with relational database and data storage concepts. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or Teradata. Knowledge of Microsoft Transact-SQL, PL/SQL, or Teradata SQL. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 2012/2014/2016 and above, Oracle 11g/12c, or Teradata Studio. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and above, UNIX, Oracle Exadata, or AIX.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
