Our Mobility Electronics Department is responsible for developing Body Computer Modules, Secure Central Gateways and Vehicle Security Products. With capabilities covering end-to-end the complete Development and New Product Introduction process we are managing and implementing global platform projects, tailored for our Original Equipment customers.

Job Description

Robert Bosch (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Undergraduate Student Mechanical Engineer to join our Mobility Electronics Department on a Full-Time basis for 12-months commencing July 2025 based at our Clayton headquarters.

You will gain valuable experience and knowledge as an integral part of our team. Some of the tasks that you will undertake with us include: 

  • Assisting Engineers in the design, development, testing and validation of new products.
  • Contributing to the successful introduction of products / changes into production and assist the cross functional team to achieve the project goals.
  • Cooperating with all project team members on all issues needed to ensure successful completion of projects on time, in accordance with the project budget and to the expected quality level.
  • Ensuring all development activities are performed in accordance with the companies’ procedures as well as relevant international standards.

Qualifications

To be considered for our Student Program, you are required to meet the following criteria:

  • Be currently enrolled in and have completed a minimum of 2 year towards a Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate Degree.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritising customer and internal demands.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Experience with CAD Software.
  • Knowledge of the traditional mechanical development lifecycle as well as agile methods.
  • Excellent attention to detail, be able to prioritise multiple tasks, work well within a team.
  • Exhibit passion for self-drive, pro-activeness, accountability and excellence.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Engineering Tools (e.g., Creo, Catia)

Additional Information

An Assessment Centre will be held on Tuesday 3rd of June at our Clayton headquarters for shortlisted candidates, providing the opportunity to engage in group activities and a possible interview.
