Accountant: AR Specialist

Our Client in West Los Angeles is seeking an Accounts Receivable Accountant with a solid grasp of general accounting principles and a keen eye for detail. In this role, you will be instrumental in upholding the financial integrity of our company by managing accounts receivable tasks such as billing, collections, reconciliation, and claims support. The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess strong communication and computer skills, and have a comprehensive understanding of accounting practices. A meticulous approach and a positive outlook are essential attributes for success in this position. 
 
Responsibilities: 
 

  • Primary Focus on Accounts Receivable: 

  • Oversee the entire accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate billing and collection of customer payments. 

  • Spearhead the creation, issuance, and management of customer invoices, credit memos, and debit memos. 

  • Lead the efforts in maintaining an accurate A/R Aging report by diligently verifying and recording transactions. 

  • Conduct thorough research to resolve discrepancies and address any issues with customer account balances promptly. 

  • Collaborative Team Management: 

  • Collaborate with the accounting team to monitor the status of orders and oversee their life cycle from initiation through billing and collection. 

  • Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless order processing and financial reporting. 

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: 

  • Assist in the preparation of detailed ad-hoc financial reports and analysis to support strategic decision-making. 

  • Contribute to other accounting tasks and projects as needed, providing reliable financial insights. 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field. 

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar financial role. 

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. 

  • Familiarity with Netsuite is highly desirable. 

  • Unwavering commitment to maintaining personal integrity and confidentiality with sensitive financial data. 

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while ensuring meticulous attention to detail. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 

Software Applications: 

  • Proficient in Netsuite for financial operations. 

  • Skilled in using Airtable for comprehensive order management. 

  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Excel, and Word. 

  • Competent in managing files and collaboration through Dropbox.
