Heavy Civil Construction Project Manager
Job Overview:
The Heavy Construction Project Manager oversees and coordinates all aspects of heavy highway construction projects. They ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. This role requires a strong background in construction management, civil engineering, and familiarity with relevant software tools.
Facility Located near Pasadena, TX
Responsibilities:
Working on city of San Antonio project (roads/highway) for about three years, then they can either move back to Houston or stay in San Antonio and continue new projects out there
Work on average project size: $20-$100 million
Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for heavy highway construction projects.
Coordinate with stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution.
Monitor progress, resolve issues, and adjust plans as needed.
Technical Skills:
Software: Primavera P6, Viewpoint, Sage, or Timberline
Knowledge of AutoCAD is a bonus.
Familiarity with estimating software like Bid2Win or similar tools.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
Ability to lead and motivate project teams.
Strong problem-solving skills to address construction challenges.
Ideally seeking candidates from smaller/midsized construction companies.
Adaptability to work in a dynamic environment with a close-knit team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering preferred.
Will consider candidates without degrees who possess significant expertise.
3+ years of experience in TxDOT heavy highway construction.
