Job Title: Project Manager - Heavy Civil Infrastructure

Job Description:
As a more senior Project Manager, you will oversee a transit construction project, ensuring that personnel and production schedules comply with owner agreements and uphold company standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing all project aspects, including construction, budget, and cash management, to ensure adherence to project contracts and owner requirements.
- Developing and overseeing project schedules, pay estimates, procedures, and equipment resources to ensure accurate and timely project completion.
- Creating and managing the project organizational chart and staffing assignments for each production phase, ensuring objectives are achieved promptly and accurately.
- Providing technical insights during project pursuits and participating in bid interviews as necessary, while also resolving specification, contract, and scheduling issues with project owners.
- Proactively engaging with all project stakeholders, including managing partners, local landowners, business owners, and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborating with the construction management team to identify project risks and negotiate change orders with owners for efficient project production.
- Presenting monthly project reports to Executive leadership.
- Ensuring project safety compliance by reviewing safety reports, participating in safety meetings, and upholding safety procedures.
- Reviewing and approving staffing and equipment needs for effective project production.
- Negotiating dispute resolutions with project owners, with support from internal legal counsel when necessary.
- Providing input on equipment procurement methods and contracts to enhance project efficiency.
- Leading project closeout procedures, including finalizing contract paperwork and resolving any project claims.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in Heavy Civil Transportation project management, with 5+ years of personnel management
- Alternate procurement experience such as CMAR or CM/GC
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and Procore
- Proven experience in bid-build, CMCG, design-build, and other alternative delivery projects.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships.
- Proven skill in identifying, tracking, and managing project risks.
- Proficient in financial analysis and interpretation.
- Advanced interpersonal skills with internal and external contacts.
- Strong negotiation skills to drive efficient project completion and fund recovery.
