Our client, a global maritime company, is seeking a motivated and dedicated Crew Training Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective training and development of the crew members, both onboard and ashore. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Arrange and coordinate crew training programs to meet organizational requirements.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date crew training database.
- Monitor and track the progress of crew trainings, both onboard vessels and at shore facilities.
- Issue and process invoices related to training activities.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets for training programs.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and statistics related to crew training initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with training centers, crew members, and vessel management to ensure alignment and effectiveness of training programs.
- Graduate of a business or shipping-related discipline; recent experience in a similar role or in crewing is preferred.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Positive mindset with excellent interpersonal skills; adaptable to changes.
- Team player with the ability to work independently and without supervision.
