Description and Requirements

The Brand Ambassador is at the forefront of delivering value propositions, differentiators, and product demonstrations that widely influence client decisions and champion the Lenovo Story. This position collaborates with a team of marketing individuals and works closely with our North American sales, technical sales, and product management organizations to gather and disseminate Lenovo’s value proposition to internal and external stakeholders. The Brand Ambassador team also works closely with the Executive Briefing Center to execute strategic messages for current and prospective buyers. The Brand Ambassador oversees the development and execution of presentations, trainings, product showcases, and other speaking engagements to drive overall business growth.

At a glance, a Brand Ambassador is a proven subject matter expert highly knowledgeable of current and future IT trends. They impact the decision-making process by attaching desired business outcomes to Lenovo’s leadership in the IT field and commitment to innovation, diversity, and sustainability. The ideal candidate will be influential early in sales cycle (i.e. technology vision/trends, Why Lenovo discussions, and customer discovery) to improve win ratios.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the sales pre-sales engineering (TCA), SMEs, and product teams to understand Lenovo products and services across the entire portfolio, to include IDG, ISG, and SSG.
  • Partner with the NA marketing team to understand and support the marketing priorities and goals
  • Identify and create customized presentations and/or trainings to meet the needs of the internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify and participate in external briefings, product demonstrations, sales/channel sales trainings, events, etc.
  • Evangelize the "Why Lenovo" story for the segment and ensure the strategy and content clearly articulate that value proposition
  • Collaborate across teams including, but not limited to: Large Enterprise, Small to Medium Business, and Channel (includes Verticals and Solutions groups like Healthcare, Gov, Workstations, and Smart Collaboration)
  • Interact with media and be the spokesperson for Lenovo’s new product introductions at conferences in the U.S. and Canada.


Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, Communications, or related field
  • Technical knowledge and experience
  • 5-7 years of B2B Marketing, Sales, or Communications experience for an IT and/or technology company; relevant experience working with, supporting, marketing to, or communicating with, customers in the segment.
  • Selected candidate must be able to travel 75% - this will include weekly travel across North America.

  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively
  • Must work well in a 1:1 environment, handle multiple visitors at once, and can pivot quickly
  • Presentation creation and delivery (virtual and in-person)
  • Ability to think strategically, but also have exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with both internal and external customers and partners
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with ability to operate on a wide range of topics and projects at one time and in a transformational environment

- This position will include work from our Morrisville campus as well as work from home each week.
