About Coda

Coda started with an observation: In a world full of applications, why do documents and spreadsheets still run everything? And why haven't they been meaningfully updated in over 50 years? Coda is a new doc that's familiar and flexible like the documents you're used to, but comes with building blocks you can combine to create docs as powerful as apps. It's a big product with an even bigger mission. And we need your help to spread the word! We're backed by some of the Valley's leading venture capitalists, and have assembled a world-class team across offices in San Francisco, Mountain View, and Seattle, and remote employees all over the US. About the Role

We're looking for a seasoned, operationally-savvy, empathetic Brand Design Lead to nurture and scale our talented Brand Design team. As a leader, your main job will be to foster a creative, inclusive, rigorous design culture and collaborate with partners across the business to scale our existing systems without compromising collaboration and brand fidelity. You will report directly to the Brand Lead.

 

In this role you will:

  • Manage a team of 3 designers, guiding career development and making sure people feel inspired and able to do their best work
  • Recruit more designers to help us expand into new disciplines
  • Partner with our Creative Project Manager to make scalable and efficient design processes
  • Advocate for brand design in cross-functional forums and facilitate collaboration with product and marketing
  • Work with partners across teams to determine priorities and performance metrics, and translate them all into a project list every quarter

 

You may be a great fit for this role if:

  • 5+ years of experience managing design teams
  • Familiarity with industry standard tools Adobe Creative Suite and Figma (familiarity with Coda is a plus!)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
