Coda started with an observation: In a world full of applications, why do documents and spreadsheets still run everything? And why haven’t they been meaningfully updated in over 50 years? Coda is a new doc that’s familiar and flexible like the documents you’re used to, but comes with building blocks you can combine to create docs as powerful as apps. It’s a big product with an even bigger mission. And we need your help to spread the word!

About this role

We are looking for a talented, junior to mid-level designer to support the build and evolution of a refreshed visual identity system. You have 2 or more years of experience working as a brand or visual designer in an agency, production company, or an internal brand/communication design team. Degree(s) in design/branding preferred–your work will be the primary determinants of your qualification :]

In this role you will: 

  • Work on a variety of design projects. Some examples of this will include web/interactive, print, presentation, motion, graphic design and campaigns.
  • Be a self-starter - have strong organizational ability in your working files, your design repositories, adhere to timelines etc.

You may be a great fit for this role if: 

  • You show a command of the design fundamentals (typography, composition, color use, layout, etc.)
  • You immerse themselves in a design problem to understand its opportunities and constraints
  • You conceive and pitch an elegant solution and be able to defend their proposals to a variety of your team
  • You efficiently produce their solution and oversee its technical implementation
  • You take direction, ask probing questions to fill-in context, solicit feedback, and not bristle at critique
  • You work systematically and find ways to improve/evolve the system they're implementing
