Job Description
TIDAL is looking for a strategic Brand Insights Senior Manager to join the Global Marketing team and support the Marketing organization in their pursuit of building a globally loved brand and bringing the next generation of artists and fans to TIDAL.
You will play a pivotal role in informing marketing and business decisions by owning key insights and research projects from strategy through execution and collaborate with cross-functional leaders across Brand Marketing, Paid Media, Creative, International and Product teams to answer relevant business questions about our brand and consumers.
You have experience working with world-class consumer brands, are passionate about the consumer experience, and have a talent for data story-telling. You are experienced in translating data-driven insights into marketing actions and business recommendations. Reporting to the Global Brand Strategy, Insights & Measurement Lead, this is an opportunity to help shape our current brand and marketing efforts, and future go-to-market strategies.
You Will:

Execute research projects to support brand strategy and marketing on several areas, including brand health, audience segmentation, customer experience, and marketing communications

Promote a culture anchored in empathetic consumer understanding by elevating the knowledge we have of our target audience and customers, uncovering compelling insights to influence marketing and product strategy

Define research needs and lead qualitative and quantitative research to inform key marketing and business initiatives. Focus areas may include: global brand tracking, consumer profiling and segmentation, research informing brand strategy and positioning, campaign measurement, and creative testing and optimization

Synthesize research findings into insightful observations with clear, actionable business implications and strategic, actionable recommendations, working closely with leads of stakeholder organizations

Communicate findings to senior leadership in a clear and compelling way, leading discussions that help inform decision-making across the businesses

Share relevant consumer, cultural and competitive insights and best practices across marketing and beyond, while mentoring cross-functional team members think insights-first in their work

Be a voice of the consumer and become an expert on TIDAL's brand, products, target customer, and subscribers. Understand trial, purchase and usage barriers across audiences and markets, and identify solutions with cross-functional teams to address them.
Qualifications
You Have:

8+ years of experience leading research projects in a corporate setting or at a research agency, with experience using research to influence brand, marketing and creative strategy

Experience managing research engagements in the areas of measurement, segmentation, attitudes and ad hoc custom research

A balance of creative and analytical skills with the ability to define research questions, identify appropriate methods, execute studies, and synthesize findings
-
Expertise using quantitative methods for market research and measurement (e.g., brand tracking, segmentation, NPS/customer satisfaction, concept testing, campaign measurement, market sizing, pricing, syndicated data analysis).

Experience designing and leading qualitative fieldwork using a range of techniques (e.g., in-depth interviews, focus groups, ethnographies, digital diaries)

Experience finding trends in the data, articulating the "so what," and translating insights into actionable recommendations for marketing and product stakeholders

A strong understanding of brand strategy and an ability to lead broad brand tracking and consumer profiling initiatives
-
Excellent data story-telling skills, the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior leadership (Google Slides experience )

An understanding and curiosity for cultural and industry trends, ability to connect the dots between how consumers think and feel and about our business

Passion for TIDAL's brand and mission, the music category, and consumer brands
Additional Information
Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $138,200 - USD $169,000
Zone B: USD $128,500 - USD $157,100
Zone C: USD $121,700 - USD $148,700
Zone D: USD $110,600 - USD $135,200
