We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Inside Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the sales efforts of our company by assisting with customer inquiries, processing orders, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales, excellent communication skills, and a strong desire to learn about the steel industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide product information promptly and accurately.
- Assist customers with order placement, pricing, and delivery information.
- Prepare estimates using Excel-based pricing tools and submit finished quotes to the customer.
- Collaborate with the outside sales team to coordinate customer needs and expectations.
- Proactively identify sales opportunities and recommend solutions to meet customer needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
- A College Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field is preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in sales, customer service, or a related field (steel industry experience is a plus).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Excel) and ERP software (experience with SM3 is a plus).
- Positive attitude, self-motivated, and a willingness to learn.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or reading mechanical drawings would be an asset.
