Role: SRE (Site Reliability Engineer)
Location: Remote
Summary:
This senior role plays a critical role in our SRE/DevOps team, providing advanced support and expertise across various technologies. You will troubleshoot complex issues, mentor junior engineers, and lead projects independently.
Responsibilities:
• Advanced Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
o Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across various technologies (MongoDB, OpenShift, Kafka, etc.).
o Identify root causes of problems escalated from l1 support and implement effective solutions.
o Develop and implement automation scripts to improve efficiency and reliability.
o Participate in incident response, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.
• Technical Expertise:
o Possess in-depth knowledge and experience with 4-6 of the listed technologies, including their architecture, administration, and troubleshooting.
o Possess a basic level knowledge of all listed technologies or obtain them in a short period of time,
o Stay up to date on the latest trends and best practices in SRE/DevOps and cloud technologies.
o Share knowledge and expertise by mentoring and coaching Level 1 engineers.
• Project Management:
o Take ownership of assigned projects, independently managing tasks and timelines.
o Create and maintain documentation for processes, procedures, and solutions.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SRE/DevOps processes.
• Leadership and Mentorship:
o Coach and mentor L1 engineers, providing guidance and support in their development.
o Foster a collaborative and learning environment within the team.
o Communicate effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders.
