Overview of Activities:
Figma Prototyping & UX Design Leadership: Lead the UX design process for cross-platform and cross-device applications, leveraging Figma for high-fidelity wireframes, interactive prototypes, and design specifications. Advocate for user-centered design principles, accessibility, and best practices throughout the organization.
User Research Collaboration: Partner with the Research team to gather insights on user behaviors, preferences, and pain points, using findings to inform design decisions and improve user experiences.
Information Architecture & Interaction Design: Develop and refine information architecture, user flows, and intuitive interactions that enhance navigation and guide users through delightful experiences.
Visual & Interaction Design: Ensure visual elements across products and platforms elevate the overall user experience while maintaining consistency with style guidelines. A hybrid role that emphasizes both product and visual design skills.
Design Guidelines & Accessibility: Establish and uphold design guidelines to ensure consistency across platforms. Ensure products comply with accessibility standards, allowing users of all abilities to engage effectively.
Industry Trends & Contextual Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor experiences to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to balance business requirements and technical constraints with the best user experience.
Mentorship & Leadership: Support the growth of UX team members through mentorship and contribute to enhancing the health, inclusivity, and function of the UX group. Embody and promote a growth mindset across the team.
Effective Communication & Strategic Impact: Present design concepts clearly and persuasively to motivate and influence stakeholders. Collaborate with UX Leadership to prioritize and execute impactful initiatives for the department.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years in cross-platform and cross-device product design, with a portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions and high-caliber designs from concept to completion.
Figma Expertise: Proficiency in Figma, with a strong emphasis on creating high-fidelity prototypes, wireframes, and design specifications.
Visual & Interaction Design Skills: Demonstrated strength in both interaction and visual design, with a portfolio that reflects these capabilities.
User Research & Usability: Strong understanding of user research methodologies, usability testing, and information architecture.
Design Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of design guidelines, best practices, and platform-specific considerations for mobile, desktop, and web applications.
Agile Environment Experience: Proven experience working in Agile environments, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, and managing multiple projects.
Communication & Presentation: Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating design concepts and rationale to various stakeholders.
Design Trends & Accessibility: Passionate about staying updated with the latest design trends and technologies. Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and their implementation across platforms.
