Our BMS scientists, engineers, bioprocess operators, quality specialists, and an array of other professionals work together in their shared commitment delivering more medicines to more patients faster.Position: Manager, Business OperationsLocation: Devens, MA; New Brunswick, NJ; Summit, NJPosition SummaryThe Biologics Development Business Operations department supports both strategic and operational objectives for Biologics Development including finance, project management, resource management, outsourcing, and operational excellence. Reporting to the Director of Business Operations, this individual will be responsible for the planning and execution of a broad range of activities to support Biologics Development organization including budget maintenance, contract management and operational excellence.Key Responsibilities• Responsible for the identification and implementation of Biologics Development (BD) Operational Excellence projects, with the goal of delivering productivity improvements across BD• Leads in the development, implementation, and refinement of project management tools and metrics• Support Biologics Development Book of Work through management of outsourced portfolio and associated OpEx & R&D Study Supplies Budget (forecasting, actuals and projections)• Maintain and improve collaboration tools for tracking Book of Work, Budget Management and associated data analysis• Provide input to strategic sourcing strategy and vendor relationships• Serve as project manager and /or participate, as needed, in any initiatives that are identified in BD annual objectives and/or strategic initiatives• Provide departmental business operations support (track objectives, facilitate staff meetings, create/maintain SharePoint sites amongst other activities)Qualifications & Experience• Bachelor's degree in business or relevant scientific discipline with >3 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or related industry. Advanced degree or MBA preferred• Project management experience with the ability to develop clear action plans and drive execution to meet timelines and deliver on commitments• Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence, negotiate, and drive organizational engagement• Capable of bringing structure to vaguely defined problems while using creative yet pragmatic problem-solving approaches and execution management• Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills• Strong presentation, facilitation, and messaging skills• Strong ability to ensure connectivity across multiple functions across sites and with the enterpriseIf you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn't perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.
